Campervan Gaia is a perfect Volkswagen California campervan suitable for a family or friends of four. The vehicle is the size of a regular passenger car, so you don’t have to be worried about driving on the narrow roads in stunning Norwegian nature.

Location

Like all our campervans, Gaia’s home is in Sandefjord town, 15 minutes from Torp Airport (TRF) and 1,5 hours from Oslo. Those three locations are where we personally deliver the campervans to you. Both Sandefjord and Oslo are great starting points to embark on an unforgettable campervan road trip in Norway.

Layout

In the front cab, you will find two single seats, both on a swivel base. The rear seat comes with two seat belts and works as a foldable bed for two as well. The second bed for two is found under the pop-up roof. The mattress can be secured to the ceiling while open, which gives you enough space to stand in the car. The pop-up roof has side “walls” made out of tent fabric with insect nets in its windows. Sleeping bags or duvets follow in the campervan, together with pillows and bedding. To have nice and cosy nights on your trip in whatever weather, the campervan has a parking heater that can run for a whole night.

Kitchen

The indoor kitchen comes with a double gas stove fueled by a 2 kg gas bottle, a sink with running water (cold) and 30 l fresh (in the trunk) and grey (under the car) water tanks. The top-loading 30 l fridge will keep your beer cold. The cupboard is filled with all the necessary dishes and utensils that you might need for your camping cooking.

Storage

The back of the campervan has several small storage places, great for your personal belongings that you need to have by hand. Gaia is a compact campervan and the space for your luggage is limited. There is a water tank in the trunk, taking about 30 cm out of it.

Electricity

All electric devices such as the fridge, lights, USB outlets and a diesel heater are powered by a leisure battery that charges while you drive. If you need more power, you can connect the campervan to 220 V at camping sites. Charge your devices by plugging them into USB ports or you can add a voltage converter to your campervan rental and charge at 220 V while driving.

Driving

For the driving part of your journey, Gaia has comfy armrests, storage compartments in the cab, a radio and just as in all of our campervans a phone holder. It is a manual transmission vehicle and runs on diesel. Its 80-litre tank can drive you up to 1000 km away!

What our guests said about trip with similar camper

Very friendly staff. The camper itself is excellent! Very well maintained and fuel economy is good. It is the perfect size for you to park wherever you need without restrictions. The kitchen is very well equipped as well as bed stuff. We had a very great time and had no complaints at all. It is very easy to communicate with the owners of the camper which makes any arrangement easy. Still we didn’t need anything more than just setting the time and place of pickup and return! Thank you!!

I must admit the vans are not very new but they are very reliable. I climbed some high mountains and the VW responded perfectly. Heating is perfect and Vlado has been very helpful. He would drop the van and pick it up at the airport. Very few companies would do that.

WOW! What a way to see Norway! We hired Masaryk for 9 nights so that we could get the most out of our trip to Norway. Lenka and Vlado were lovely and so helpful! Any questions we had, they were answered promptly. When we collected the van everything was explained to us so we could just hit the road without any issues. We also purchased a tailor made itinerary, Lenka did an amazing job of this! The itinerary was so detailed and we really feel without this we would have missed beautiful parts of Norway! This has been the trip of a lifetime for us and all of our thanks are to Benzini Campers. If you are thinking of hiring a camper to explore Norway, Benzini Campers are your guys!! 🤩

What an amazing experience! Incredibly helpful host, perfectly equipped camper. We did one of the itineraries from their website blog, and it was perfect for the 5 day-trip we took. Easy to drive and park everywhere, very good gas consumption. It's an old car, but it worked perfectly on the road. We rented Masaryk. We traveled with a child, so used both beds, which was very convenient. Airport pick-up and drop-off is very helpful, the host is flexible and always available for communication. We definitely recommend it to everyone looking for an affordable, off-the beaten track trip through amazing places in Norway.

It was great fun and a great experience! Benzini made it easier for us to explore Norway in winter! An amazing adventure that we recommend to everyone. The owner, Vlado is super nice and gives many tips to those who are visiting Norway for the first time!😊😊😊

That was such an amazing experience to travel in Norway! We got van "Masaryk" which was super comfortable and super cool looking have to say 😉 ( some random people passing by mentioned it too 😉 ) Well equipped kitchen gave us opportunity to stop at any place we wanted and cooked our own food -which was better than some 3*michelin restaurant 🙃real adventure in norwegian nature. Sleeping was also 10*/10🙏sleeping bags, blankets, pillows-everything was there 🙏 and have to mention heater 🙃which kept us warm when we had a bit colder night 😉 We really enjoyed our week driving our "temporary home" around south of Norway.
